I didn't think this would merit a journal entry because I mean, it's such as small thing. But I think it's actually important in marking the person I am today.
These days, my main interests are in rocket science and piano. I've actually been seriously interested in rocket science for the past three years now ever since Falcon Heavy's maiden launch. I just thought it was time I make my love for space exploration an official part of me after reading Wait But Why's long and excellent blog post on SpaceX (soo much new knowledge!).
I really want to work in the aerospace industry for my future, but living in the Philippines and not in a country where the people and the government value that sort of thing kind of makes that harder. I believe, however, when something is important enough, you do it in spite of the challenges and obstacles that come your way.
These days, I value learning and growing a lot more even when I already did before. I realized while I'm still young, I have so much more time to learn and grow than when I'm older. This has caused me to spend less time on entertainment-based activities. What's weird, though, is I've replaced my entertainment with education, and I'm very surprised I was able to do that. That means I don't actually need to do something unproductive to "have fun" or "enjoy myself". I find that a very lucrative win-win.
A couple of months ago, I said I was a completely different person to the one I was a year before. And although I may not be a completely different person today compared to the person I was a couple of months ago, I am still different, different in ways I believe make me better. I'm still evolving, and I'm very proud to say that.
Be kind and keep striving!
