Change is a Marathon, not a Sprint.

Quote of the day

Where there is a will, there is a way. If there is a chance in a million that you can do something, anything, to keep what you want from ending, do it. Pry the door open or, if need be, wedge your foot in that door and keep it open.

Pauline Kael

No matter what it is that I am working on, the above is good advice. Why? Because some days are way harder than others. It took me 13 minutes to pull myself into a sitting position to get out of bed this morning. The important thing is that I did it. I fought against the temptation to go back to sleep.

I didn't sleep well last night either. I haven't been sleeping well for the last few days. My grandma and change have been on my mind a lot. The brain needs to process all of these changes around me. It doesn't matter how big or small the changes are. Letting go of the items she loved is sad. It is a reminder that she is no longer here to enjoy what I know she loved.

I am still looking for the right direction to take. I feel lost in everything that is going on. Do I look for work? Do I go back to streaming? Do I finish my own going crafts? Do I look at school courses? I suppose the first is to look at all the options available to me and go from there and remember that I can change my mind if I want.

Planning would help, but I must be flexible and open to the unforeseen—one step at a time.
