Today is Sunday, September 18th 2022 and yesterday (Saturday, September 17th 2022) was my birthday. I turned 29. On Saturday for my birthday I went to New York City's Central Park with two friends and we just went around places exploring and taking photos. This was their last day here before they would fly back to Mexico, and that was also my last day there before I would fly back to Puerto Rico. We had a lot of fun in the park.
Eventually we went back to their Airbnb and we separated. I took an Uber to the JFK airport and they took the metro to their airport which was a different one.
The drive was an hour from their Airbnb to the JFK airport and I ended up falling asleep during the ride. When I arrived at the airport, I went to one of those check in machines and I put in my confirmation code, and it said my flight was cancelled and to visit support. So I got in line to visit support, and the couple in front of me also had the same thing happen to them, and they were also on the flight to Puerto Rico. So we chat for a while and talked about it. I called my mom too and she told me to just come to Virginia, to take a bus, so I coin flipped whether I should do that, it said yes, so I did.
I took another Uber back to the city to get a bus to Virginia and it cost me like $90. To get to the JFK Airport cost me around $70 or $80. They cancelled my flight back to PR and refunded me and I got back $160, so literally going to the Airport and back to NYC was more expensive than my flight, and it negated my entire refund.
Anyway I took a bus back to Virginia and it was a four hour ride. I just took a nap and listened to music that whole time. It was fun. I messaged some friends, I thought about Wahl.
Wahl wished me a happy birthday with several carefully picked out emojis and she called me beautiful, radiant, and amazing just the day before. I think she's all those things too. I didn't reply to her today though, even though the bus ride was four hours long. I was way too tired and not in the mood for romance with Wahl at that time, so I saved replying for today (Sunday) morning.
I think Wahl is so awesome and I have such a huge crush on her and I think she is amazing and I am in love with her. We both almost flew back to Puerto Rico on Friday, we both ordered on tickets on Thursday to fly there the next day and were ready, but due to the storm, she said it was better if we cancelled, so we both cancelled. I think that was the right call.
This morning I messaged Wahl again replying to her Birthday wishes and other messages, with a lot of affection in return. I always have to send Wahl affection, with each interaction I want her to know how much I like her so it's absolutely clear because it's true.
Before that though, the first thing I did in the morning was actually walk outside for two hours with my dad.
The rest of the day was just me lazing around, watching anime, looking at social media, and stuff like that. The whole past week I have posted photos of my travels in NYC and they're so fun and cool. We took the best pictures I have ever taken.
Anyway I need to get back to journaling again. I am 29 years old now and this is the oldest I've ever been in my life so far so I have to be an improvement off of previous versions.
Anyway that was my day today.
