I liked the Proto Carbuncle fight. It gets a lot of flak for having a visually busy arena, but imo it looked neat. (To be fair, I wasn’t the one responsible for making calls, so I could just enjoy the visuals without necessarily having to interpret them.) Also we fought him during Riot of Rot! Perfectly thematic! Venomous Mass, Toxic Crunch, Venom Surge…this guy would make a fantastic plague rep.

I got a 6% parse, which was wildly disappointing. I thought I did decently; I didn’t die and didn’t overcap any heat. For comparison, last tier I was getting 40-50% on Eric and 20-30% on hippo. I even snagged a 25% on Phoinix before we stopped doing reclears. It might just be a gear thing. I haven’t farmed a single tomestone this tier. I’m in 610 crafted gear with no overmelding.

In any case, we’re on to P6S. Our GGG members, who’ve already done the fight, assured us it’s much better. Dante was hyping the music, which is a vocal version of the P5S music. "Having lyrics adds a lot, in my opinion," he said.
