The good news is that we’re done with Agdistis reclears forever. Dante got his brine, we all got our books, and there’s nothing more we need from her.
The bad news is that we didn’t clear Hephaistos 1 this weekend. I think our best was a 54-55%-ish enrage that was on pace until a very messy dog 2 phase. (Like Hesperos, he’s a door boss. You need 50%.) It’s okay. We’re making steady progress. We’ve seen dog 2 enough that I’m getting the hang of how the movement works. He telegraphs four moves, three of which cause knockback, then executes the four moves in order, so you have to remember the sequence and position yourself to avoid getting knocked out of the arena. It’s not as complicated as it sounds, but it does take some practice. I was having Agdistis-style issues where I had everything carefully diagrammed and could remember none of it in the moment.
Meanwhile, on Sunday evening, we didn’t have our usual Gloomhaven session because HGR was asleep. Instead, numbers streamed PowerWash Simulator (??) and it looked fun (???) and Dante and I bought it. “This is all my fault,” said HGR when he woke up and beheld what we were doing. We’re basically Tom Sawyer’s suckers. It really is fun though.
