A Long Week

What a week it has been! Celebrated my birthday from Wednesday to Sunday. Spent Wednesday wandering around downtown with my boyfriend. We had a lovely dinner in the city, did a little shopping and went back to our hotel. On Thursday he wrote his Paralegal exam and then we headed back to the city and went to the Aquarium which was amazing! I think the aquarium might just be my favourite place. Friday was our last night together and we spent it in the hotel room cuddling and watching Netflix which was amazing. Saturday we got up and packed, got brunch, went shopping and caught a movie before it was time to take him to the airport.

The whole drive to the airport he kept saying "It's gunna be okay." I finally said to him "I know it's gunna be okay." To which he responded, "I wasn't talking to you!" He was trying to convince himself. As we pulled up to the drop off I was holding back tears. I got out of the car to say goodbye and he hugged me and told me that he is falling in love with me. I have never been so torn with happiness and sadness at the same time. I know things will be alright though.

He arrived at his destination on Sunday and called me when he got to his parents house, already talking about cutting his 3 month trip short to come back to me.

My cousin threw me a Birthday party with all our friends on Sunday to help me feel better. It was a lot of fun, we spent the afternoon going to different nurseries and picking out plants and in the evening we built our own terrariums.

When I got home I called Lucas and we started discussing the possibility of actually moving in together when he comes home. Now I have to consider how I am going to budget for it... I have never been very good at not spending my money! Not to mention if we move in together we are going to have to buy furniture! Unless I take all of the furniture from my room? It is a little helpful that my grandparents are moving and looking to get rid of a lot of their furniture. Perhaps I can arrange to take some of theirs?
