I am completely exhausted today. I had to fight the urge to fall asleep with every second of my drive to work this morning. Which is not ideal because my drive to work is an hour and bit away. I called my boyfriend to try and talk the whole way to work to keep me awake. Even now sitting at my desk drinking my coffee, I am struggling to keep my eyes open. The good news is I have my blanket with me, so at least I am cozy.
I had a fantastic workout yesterday. I took my dogs for a walk around the neighborhood which was quite nice. The younger one, Shelby, is finally starting to get the hang of heeling. After that I went home and did a leg workout in the basement. I think I may have overloaded myself for deadlifts though, my legs aren't sore but my back certainly is. I almost enjoy working out in my basement better than going to the gym. It is certainly much less time consuming. After doing my leg workout I threw in a quick ab circuit and spent the rest of my time stretching. There is nothing that feels better than a good stretch! I cannot stress enough how important stretching is for our wellness. Mobility is so important and that's why I think stretching is the most important part of a workout.
More good news! I am going to see an apartment that my partner and I are interested in today and hopefully later this week I will be seeing the apartment we love and could really see ourselves living in. Makes me think I should stop writing a journal and get back to work so that I can afford the apartment!
