We finally had a clean run of Hephaistos 2. It was down to the wire; Hephaistos was casting the final Ego Death; all the veterans, who have seen this many times before, were like “it’s fine, it’s fine, just hit your buttons.”
It was not fine. We got a 0.4% enrage. You hate to see it.
“Technically, we won,” said KJH, as we pored over the battle log.
“I have a clear conscience, at least, sort of,” said Luis.
Dante said, “I took the log to xivanalysis, and under suggestions, it says ‘there’s nothing here.’ ”
I also had no suggestions from xivanalysis. I was playing outta my mind that run. (But the wipe WAS my fault anyway because I haven’t farmed the tomestones to upgrade my weapon LOL OOPS)
numbers analyzed the log and announced, “We collectively had like an 8% crit rate on our big shit.” Apparently I didn’t crit any of my drills that weren’t reassembled. rip
Anyway, nothing to do but keep trying. About 45 minutes later, we got the clear. (But my own performance was much worse because my important pot, the one after the first Ego Death, didn’t go off. I didn’t notice until like Resonance 3 when I was like “why is my pot not on cooldown??” mega rip) First time pizza static has cleared a raid tier while it’s still current!
Not sure where we’re going from here. We got about a month until the next raid tier drops. Kan was slumming with us, but we’re just his side gig and when the new tier comes out he’ll be clearing it with other like-minded hotdoggers. GANON raided with us early in Pandemonium, but he didn’t really enjoy it. Maybe we can pull in Tiro?
Also I suppose it’s time for me to catch up on the MSQ lolol. MSQ IS FOR YOU
