Alright Day, Studied for 2 Hours At Least

7:01 AM (of Wednesday, June 17th 2020)

Today is Tuesday, June 16th 2020 and it was an alright day overall. The morning was okay, I recall just catching up on yesterday's journal entry, taking photos for the logs (but not uploading anything), doing not much other than that.

Work was alright as well. There were some issues that we ran into in the morning, and that took a few hours to resolve.

Around 12 PM a friend texted me if he wanted to have a meeting later so that I could review his resume and portfolio. We had that meeting later after work for me which was around 5 PM. He showed me his portfolio, resume, and process for applying for jobs, etc and I gave him some tips to improve. He wanted to see my things too, so I showed him my website and LinkedIn and he gave some feedback there as well.

After that meeting I drove around for a bit, listening to a podcast episode on the topics I was studying, and I learned a lot more of the basics. I mean I knew all of this already, but it was interesting I guess to hear about it. There's really not much to learn outside of the basics, after the basics it's just a lot of techniques, tips and tricks. 3 Ts. I just came up with that, pretty interesting, but yeah I think it fits.

After that I attempted to solve a problem on camera, and I embarrassed myself by failing hard and not being able to solve it. I'm going to try again and again until I get it. It sucks though because it's hard. I spent like an hour on camera planning things out and trying to resolve it, in the end I just gave up after an hour and being stuck for around 10-20 minutes, that I just turned off the recording. Of course that video is not going up online anywhere, but I did learn how bad and terrible I was at these problems and I needed a lot more time practicing.

Anyway that was my day today, pretty normal day at the least. I don't think I accomplished that much to be honest, but I think failure has some good lessons too. There's a lot of things I need to catch up on still.
