Overall a good Sunday

Today is Sunday, June 21st 2020 and overall it was a good day. I mean there were a bunch of things I needed to work on, a bunch of things I could have caught up on, and I didn't completely finish everything, but at least I worked on some things today.

Anyway I cancelled my gym membership today by mailing in a letter. I called them up and they said I could cancel either by coming in in person, or by mailing a letter. I don't know why they didn't just let me cancel by phone, but okay. I had to look up the address for the gym and write them a physical letter saying I wanted to cancel. I put in my name, phone number, my membership number, and reason why I wanted to cancel. I folded it up, put it in an envelope, put a stamp, and walked out to the mailbox to mail it in. It felt pretty cool to mail in a letter, but seriously I don't know why they didn't just let me cancel through the phone or online. I think they wanted to make it as inconvenient as possible to deter people from cancelling. I still think it will take a few days before they actually cancel it.

I just did mostly productive things throughout the entire day. I was very satisfied with today, and although there are still many things I needed to do.

Around 7 PM I finished up on a lot of things and I went out for a drive. I needed to drive my car every now and then just to get the oil and everything coursing through it instead of letting it stale out, and I need an oil change too. I'm not getting an oil change any time soon but I do need it.

After a short drive and parking back at home, I started to walk for a bit. It was encountering a bunch of people as I walked and smelling a putrid smell coming from the garbage nearby that made me turn around and walk back home and just stay home. There weren't that many people out, but there was still some people out, and again the smell from running into the neighborhood trash dump made me reconsider walking around. I want to find a place I can park and just walk around for hours without anyone else around. I don't know if any such places exist though.

I had this entry set to private for some reason, so I'm just updating it now. And to continue from the cliffhanger in that last paragraph I wrote, yes, I was able to find such a place! I walk there now almost daily and it's a cool place to walk. Weird, I never knew I had such a desire to find such a location, but I was able to find such a location after this. That's cool, I wanted it, and I was able to get it.
