I often ask my self why people make life so complicated. They often think of their problems as something that is complex and unachievable, even though there is usually a pretty simple solution to it. The solution may be hard, boring and require some discipline, but it is there. For example, the days one may not want to go to the gym. The solution is simple. Get up and walk to the gym. Or when one is faced with a momentous task, where they ask themselves "Do I even have the skills to solve this ? ". The solution to that is simple also, try to do the task and find out. If you do not, then it is a perfect opportunity to learn the skills to solve the task.

Will that be long ? Yes. Will that be tedious ? Yes. Will that be worth it ? Most definitely, yes. The solution to most problems are often that simple. No need to worry about things such as "Potential" and "Genetics". Unless you are a once in a generation prodigy, those words can only imprison you true potential in your mind- forged limitations. As the late great bodybuilder, Mike Mentzer once said "Potential is something that can only be assessed in retrospect, so go out and get to work."

You may ask yourself, what happens if I try to do something, give it 100% of my effort and devotion, and still fail. Don't worry or fret, your time has not been wasted. Throughout the journey, you would have still learnt something valuable that can be used in other aspects of your life, or in the future if you cannot find a use for it now. The journey would have taught you something that you needed to learn, so it is always worth taking.

When taking a journey, be fully focused on that journey. Not necessarily on the destination, but learning every part of that journey, taking every step you need to, and learn like a student with a thirst for knowledge. Doing so will allow you not to rush steps and allow you to find the true meaning of said experience. It will also help develop patience so you are not too fixated on fast results.
