a crash course in pokeball production

Pros to being the zero-attention-span guy who roams everywhere: FIRST IN SQUAD to max out my catch power via finding lifmunk effigies yeahhhh

Cons: It’s 2 am, HGR is out of mats for pokeballs, and everyone else is asleep. He keeps asking stuff like “where do we get more paldium?” “where do we mine our stone?” dude!! I don’t know!!

I did give myself a crash course so I think I have the basics down now.

  • BASE 1 has our mining operation. (I think it used to be base 3, but it got changed.)
  • Put stone in the crusher to convert it to paldium fragments.
  • Don’t put ALL the stone in the crusher because raw stone is also used in pokeballs. Some raw stone needs to be shipped to base 2 (where our production facilities are). (I did not realize this initially and took all the base 2 stone to make paldium lol lmao oops)
  • Despite our best efforts, the base 1 dudes keep falling down the cliff and getting stuck (notably, all our miners and the water dude who runs the crusher). If you see hungry dudes, put them in your box and then back in the base to respawn them at the poke box.

HGR is keeping up a steady stream of questions for which I have no answers. “why don’t we have stone production at base 2?” “what do our base 2 guys even do all day?” “why can’t a mammorest just carry the stone from base 1 to base 2?”

He’s been on Palworld hiatus for the last week due to reading Lessons in Love, one of the great modern works of American literature. However, he is current as of yesterday, which means he’s back to pals. Also he has like ten total lifmunk effigies so he burns through way more pokeballs as anyone else.

edit (1/31): numbers fixed base 1! He theorized that the pokemon weren’t falling off the cliff, they were spawning down there. (Apparently, they aren’t rendered 100% of the time, and when they do render, the game picks a random spawn point within a certain radius of the pokebox.) He also theorized they couldn’t spawn on top of human-made infrastructure. So he built an absolutely massive outdoor bar at the base of the cliff. It seems to be working: we haven’t had anyone down the cliff at base 1 since then.
