shambles

Been kind of a shambles lately, but especially today. I had been planning to go into the office today, but the forecast was single-digit windchill and possibly ice and snow during my commute in, so I decided to pass. I stayed up until 1 am playing Stardew Valley, went to sleep at 2 am, the usual. Woke up at 8:30 and was quite glad I didn’t wake up an hour earlier to shower and leave the house. But then it looked so nice and sunny outside…and there wasn’t any ice or snow…I ended up kind of regretting it.

I guess I could’ve gone in later in the day. I’m so used to it being a binary choice, either go in or don’t go in.

Work-wise I’ve been rather scattered trying to work on two projects simultaneously. I finally got project #1 finished and just started picking up momentum on #2 when I got assigned a fast-track project yesterday (hard deadline, serious business). I was annoyed about this, and continued working on #2 until late afternoon when I got a text asking my opinion on the latest update—oops!! Also the documentation on this fast-track project is, like, one step above word salad and I am not looking forward to wading through it tomorrow.

Ordered Wingstop for dinner (“What weird shit did you order this time?” said roommate. mango habanero tenders, my favorite) and afterwards took a hot shower and did the laundry. Feeling better now, ready to launch into work tomorrow I GUESS.
