Preparing for Iceland

1:50 AM (of Thursday, April 11th 2024)

Today is Wednesday, April 10th 2024, and I'm back in Virginia as of today. I'm only going to be here for less than 24 hours, before I fly to Boston, and then Iceland with Wahl.

I haven't written a journal entry in a week, but to sum up what's happened, I gave into my pleasures and I wasn't able to stay disciplined after writing that last entry. I still did my dailies for the most part, the brain exercises, the physical exercises (8 pull ups, 8 chin ups, 36 push ups, 31 leg raises, an hour of cardio), did at least one vegan related tweet a day, but I neglected cleaning a bit. I neglected eating a small amount of food a bit. I ate way too much most days unfortunately, and like I said, I gave in to my pleasures.

Still, I think I did my best to prepare for my chance to meet up with Wahl again and be with her again. We're going to Iceland together, staying in a campervan together, staying in Airbnb's or hotels together. It'll be a fun adventure.

I didn't get the results I wanted before this date though. I wanted to be thinner and have six pack abs. I am far from that still.

I've hung out with Eric, and Guy, and some other girls ever since then too. We just hung out and talked. I'm not sure if our encounters are worth writing about, but I think one significant night is I just showed off my 2003ish website that I made in third grade, to these guys and Alice. Also showed them my old YouTube videos. I think it was a night or two after my last entry where I talked about that stuff.

There was this drone that arrived at my parent's place in Virginia a few days ago, and I got to play with it today. While playing around with the "Point of Interest" feature where you can make the drone circle around you while you do anything, I started running around and the drone circled itself right into a tree, and landed in a small stream, becoming fully submerged. What shocked me is that the device was still working.

So I dried it off, took it home, and put it under a hair dryer for like 30 minutes to an hour, after drying it a bunch. Then I put in a new battery, turned it on, and it worked. So I've tested the drone, and it looks like everything works still, except that it doesn't turn off. The drone can lift off, all the camera and controls function just fine, I'm just not able to turn it off without removing the battery. It turns itself on again instantly as soon as I turn it off, so that's why I'm not able to turn it off.

That's kind of insane. This drone was fully submerged under water, and when I pulled it out of the water, it was still showing video on the controller, which is insane. This drone was totally and fully under water, but it worked still right after I pulled it out, and it works almost fully again after being dried off. I think that's pretty awesome.

I mean I think that's it. I don't know what else to add. I got Wahl a happy birthday card, wrote a message on it tonight, along with taping a gift to it, and I'm going to give it to her tomorrow.

Anyway I am so sleepy. I finished basically everything I needed to. So I'm going to sleep now. So tired.

I have not posted a happy birthday message on her Facebook wall yet though, so I think I'll do that now. Or not. I'm sleepy.
