The past two days

10:24 PM

Today and yesterday have been pretty good. Yesterday, Saturday, we had two family gatherings to celebrate some September birthdays. Apparently there's like 5 or more of us in the family who have birthdays in September, so we celebrated then. The first party was for a niece, who turned 6 I think. Around 20 family members showed up to the first party, and then around 25 family people showed up at the second party. For the first party, we met up at a cousin's place, my parents and I bought some vegan foods from Loving Hut to take there, and that's mainly what we ate there. My cousins also made some tofu meals and some other vegan dishes, and it was cool that they accommodated, but yeah, we still brought some food.

I met up with some cousins that I haven't seen in a long time, probably 5+ years. Maybe even over 10 years. I don't even know. They live in states other than Virginia, so it has been a while since they visited and we saw each other. I also have some cousins who are in Virginia, and I saw them last year for Thanksgiving. I'm glad both of my parents are plant based as well, it makes family gatherings easier when you are not the only person that abstains from animal cruelty.

In the second party, it was hosted at my aunt's and cousin's house. It's one house, but one of my cousins and her husband and two daughters live there, as well as her two parents, my aunt and uncle. I think I have 6 aunt and uncle pairs in the United States, and 3 aunt and uncle pairs in the Philippines. For some reason all of my dad's siblings ended up in the United States, while all of my mom's siblings are in the Philippines. I am well connected to both sides of the family, though I see my American cousins much more frequently.

Anyway, we celebrated a bunch of different September birthdays at the second party, and that was cool. We came back home, and then went to sleep, and that brings us to today.

Today was another pretty good day. I finished reading To Be an Actor today, or maybe it was yesterday. I got to chapter 84, and it does go on to chapter 101, that's where the translations are currently, but I think this is the climax. The main character becomes the top rank student in the country, he is the most famous celebrity in the country, he was in a movie and two drama series and both were hits, he was in a play and it was a hit, everyone knows him and all the girls are crazy for him, and he's only 18 or 19 years old. I think this is the climax. There's no more tension in the story. He's already reached the peak.

Anything more than this is just extra. I mean yeah his "ultimate goal" is to earn the "Best Actor Award", which he didn't win in the last award ceremony, he only won the "Excellence Award" which isn't the same. But, I think they will just expand the story further and further, until he gets the Best Actor Award in his 40s or something ridiculous like that. He's already the most famous celebrity in the country. He's the highest paid and most wanted actor in the country. He also literally became the rank 1 student in the entire country. What more is there? What more tension is there?

I think something extra might be that he goes to Hollywood and acts in the United States. Then it's just more of the same. Then he becomes the best actor in the States, the most famous in the States, the most celebrated, and so on. It'll just be the same exact formula except in the States instead of South Korea. The character is flawless. He just wins at everything he does.

Near the start, there was some tension. He just died and was reborn to live his life again, and he started off broke. There was tension here. There was tension when he applied for his acting job, and it was uncertain how he would be able to perform. It was uncertain when they were filming how well that first film would do. But he's already 18 or 19 now, and already achieved it all. That's why I am dropping this story, because there's no peak after this. This is the peak, and there was never any tension.

Anyway, today we went to Great Falls with some family members. My parents live around 25 minutes from there. Oh, before that, my dad and I went shopping for some food at Big Lots and Costco, because we had no food at home. All we did was just drop off the food, and then headed out immediately to Great Falls. This is one of the more popular places in Northern Virginia. There's not much to see there though.

So we go to Great Falls, see the waterfalls, and then head out to Loving Hut to eat there. We were a party of 8 people and ate at that vegan restaurant. That was a cool experience for sure.

Oh yeah, my Apple Watch Ultra 2 arrived today. It was basically unused. It came in the box with the watch itself still having its wrap, the orange band was untouched, the cable was still in its case, it had a 98% battery life capacity, it was basically completely unused. I think it starts off at 98% capacity already or something, so yeah I'm basically its first wearer. This watch is the best. The absolute best. I just like how cool it looks. It looks extremely, extremely cool. I have been wanting this watch for years, and I finally have it. I spent a couple of hours playing with it today, I think it's awesome.

I took this sleeping supplement in the afternoon, that we bought from Big Lots, and it immediately made me feel drowsy. It said to take it before bed, but I didn't think it would actually work so quickly. I told my parents about it and they got angry and yelled at me, and got me to throw it away. It was only $3, but I didn't think it would work so well. It was some nighttime vegan gummy to help aid with sleep.

I then went to the gym, but I was so freaking sleepy. I contemplated turning around and going back, but I forced myself to go to the gym. All I did was 3 sets of 25 push ups in a row. That was all I could do. Then I went back home and ate dinner. My parents ate dinner while I was at the gym. It's a 5 minute walk there, and then I was in the gym for like 10 minutes, and then another 5 minute walk back. My parents already cooked their meals before I left, so yeah they finished it pretty quickly. My dad was actually still eating when I got back, but my mom was done.

Then at night time, just a few moments ago, I was finishing up my brain training. I do around or over 200 math problems, a bunch of word problems, a bunch of puzzles, daily. It does get tiring going through them, but I feel like I have to keep my brain sharp. I'm in the 99th percentile for all of these brain training apps, and they each have 10+ million users. The math one only has like 80k users actually, and I'm ranked 2 on there out of everyone, but the other ones have millions of users, and I'm in the 99th percentile in all of them. That's pretty cool.

I also did some vegan activism on X and Threads at night. I just post and reply to random posts, maybe make a random post myself about anything vegan related, and it's a pretty easy item to complete compared to the brain training.

I like doing these dailies. I try to exercise my body, brain, and ethics daily.

Anyway, that was my day today.
