Today is Friday, December 20th 2024 and it was a pretty good day today. I did some work, did some exercises, I went to the USPS today to pick up some mail. At night time I went to Marshall's again and bought some vegan foods.
I was planning on going straight home and just staying at home and maybe eating or sleeping, but when I got there, I changed my mind and decided to just drive around instead. I didn't have a destination in mind, but I remembered there was this carnival fair going on, it was hard to miss because all the lights from all the rides shone to anyone driving on one of the main highways. I didn't know when they were closing this event, so I decided to just go there tonight.
I went there alone. I wore a white "Go Vegan" shirt there. For some reason people treat me really nicely wearing this shirt. It was the shirt I wore when I got showed around Wal-Mart a month or two back, when I was looking to buy an umbrella, a man went out of his way to show me where it was and helped me pick one out. Today too, I went to the USPS and the guy was super helpful to me. Helped me get a package and a lot of mail, talked to me in English too. At Marshall's today, the woman cashier was super kind to me, there were these No Cow bars I wanted to buy, one of them was opened and only 3 bars were inside when normally a box had 4, she gave me a discount on them. Just wearing this shirt. Also, I got two likes from two girls recently on this photo I uploaded a year ago, and I'm wearing this same shirt on Instagram, my Instagram is MeggGawat btw.
The parking was $5 to get in, and there was a lot of parking, but depending on where you parked, you had to walk more. I parked way closer to the entrance of the parking lot at first, thinking the entrance to the carnival fair was nearby. I walked for a few minutes over to this gate where there were people standing outside, and asked them how to get in. They said I had to go all the way around this baseball stadium to get inside, and it's better to park there. So I walked back to my car and moved it to where they directed me. It was like a 4 minute walk.
I parked in the new spot, and I thought I was much closer to the carnival fair now, I had to be. I went to the baseball stadium at first, thinking maybe you had to go in there first to get to the carnival. I went through the security there, and they treated me nicely. I got in, and it was just a baseball game going on. Whoops, I didn't know. So I went back out, and kept going around the perimeter of the stadium, it was like a 10 minute walk before I finally got to the carnival fair. I'm not even joking, it was a very long walk to get from the parking lot to the carnival fair.
It was $40 to get in, but the coolest thing is that all the rides and attractions are covered with this one fee. I got in line for the Ferris Wheel first, and once I got to the front and was about to get on, the attendant said no single people allowed, and I said "ok, bien", which means, oh okay. So I was about to just leave, but then the couple behind me said I could go with them. They said I looked like a nice person and why not? So I rode with this couple, and they talked to me in English. I took photos of them, and they took some photos of me too. I'm getting a photo rated now, so that if it's rated as attractive, then I'll upload it here. If not, I'll keep it out. It might take a few days before the test results come back, so I'll just have some pictures of the carnival for now.
Honestly i think I look fine in the photo, but I don't care about my own opinion on it. The girls have to rate me on the photo, and if it's good to them, then it's good in general.
Anyway, the Ferris Wheel ride was fun. Honestly I was scared initially. We rotated and stopped so high as more people from the bottom got on and off. When the Ferris Wheel was stopped and we were near the top, it kept rocking back and forth, and we were super high up. I was very scared, but glad that I wasn't alone on the cart. If the cart fell or something, then I wouldn't be dead alone. Anyway, eventually the Ferris Wheel moved and it spun quickly, I was scared initially, but after a few rotations, all the fear went away.
I rode a bunch of other rides. The Ferris Wheel was honestly a big shock for me, and there were rides I was too scared to go on at the start. After riding a bunch of smaller rides though, I was ready to go on some of the scarier ones. I mean I probably went on at least 5-6 different rides, and I went to a few different attractions as well. It would be a chore to write about all of them in detail, because they are all unique and I had unique experiences in each.
By the end though, after getting on a few fast ones, a few high ones, a few spinny ones, I was pretty much ready to ride any ride. They closed though as I got to that state. I was on one of the rides, one of the scarier ones I avoided at the start because it looked too fast for me, when they started turning off the lights. After the ride stopped, I got off and started walking back to my car. It was like a 10 minute walk.
Anyway, the carnival fair was fun. I'm very sleepy now or else I'd keep going. Anyway, that was my day today.
Oh yeah, the only reason I went alone was because I told my friends I would be sleeping soon. I ended up not sleeping and going to Marshall's instead. Then I went to the carnival fair after. I didn't plan it at all or else I would've invited them, so I just went alone. Anyway, that was my day today.
