We heard yelling from inside an abandoned cathedral and went to investigate. We found seven or eight kobold looters in a room, all of whom were drunk on firewine, meaning they would explode if killed with fire. We all did typical things: Ilanis, our bard, cast an AoE hypnotize that put five of the kobolds temporarily out of action. Lae’zel, our fighter, moved into front-line position. Astarion, our rogue, found a back entrance to the room and got in sneak attack position. Shadowheart…did something, I guess, I dunno.

That left us two sorcerers. I killed the one kobold outside the room. Then HGR hasted himself and me.

“Are you going to stand in the doorway and cast fireball?” said HGR.

“Is that a good idea?” I said, thinking of the firewine.

“If you don’t, I will,” said HGR.

So I stood in the doorway and cast fireball, and then moved out of the way so that HGR could stand in the doorway and cast fireball twice, and everything exploded. Lae’zel barely escaped with her life. Ilanis was miffed that we immediately nullified hypnotize, but HGR shrugged it off. “The flame sorcerer power fantasy,” he said. “I had to do it.”
