Mental Health Journey Day 2

Monday is the first day of the week. As my father would say, "How you act in the beginning is how you will act the whole time." He is trying to say that you need to start something. Consistency is the key.

Today was the first day after a month when I was able to go to the gym. When I arrived at the gym, I noticed that I had forgotten my towel. I was too disappointed at myself, which worsened my anxiety. I felt ashamed, but I managed to get my towel and did a small workout. Due to health-related reasons, I do smaller gym sessions four times a week. But like I mentioned earlier, consistency is the key! So far, I can get all the nutrients I need. Because of my eating disorder, I take some supplements. I feel less stressed about eating food if I take it.

Similar topic: My goal for today is to take some notes and study a little bit. I finished my homework and after finishing writing my daily entry, I will sit down to focus on my lecture. I am convinced that I will make it!

I was reading a poem collection by the author Rainer Maria Rilke (Liebesgedichte). I struggle with understanding poems, but I like the feeling of reading poems. It feels like I am reading a picture. I might reread the poem collection. Maybe I will understand the meaning behind it in the future. Nevertheless, reading is a good hobby. I know many people who read, but it's always interesting to hear what other people read. It says so much about a person. I know one person who loves to read classic literature, and I know another friend who loves to read dystopian novels. If you share what you love to read (or what you love to do), you show a great part of your personality. I like it when other people show what they like. It makes them interesting.

My conclusion:

  • Consistency is the key!
  • Never stop trying!
  • Small steps are steps!
  • Be proud of the things you enjoy!

See you tomorrow, friends!
