So I just finished my internship for today, and honestly out of those 3 settings, the educational setting was doable for me, 2nd is clinical (although i hate interviews), 3rd is industrial.
the people in the educational setting were nice, althought i did kind of sensed that they were intimidated by us lol. I guess it’s because it’s the guidance office lol, so everybody was welcoming lol and open to mental health concerns. In the clinical setting, I sensed something within those supervisors, so i tried to get out of that clinic, but wasn’t able to do so (because we’re bounded by contract)
and lastly, the industrial setting. I would say this is the toxic so far out of the 3 settings ive been to. On my 1st day, i didn’t feel welcome at all. Although i could sense that they were in a bad mood because of work. Second, the HR assistant of my supervisor was giving me an attitude. I did something wrong one time tbh, and he showed snide remarks towards me, but he would eventually tell me to do it correctly next time and don’t mess up. I’m glad i only rendered 100hrs there lol.
i decided to just lay it all here coz i feel like if i had these things written on the exit survey, they might come at me. Also, i only got in because my dad knew the HR, and so me and my friend got in without an interview proper.
actually, i already had sensed something was wrong when we met our supervisor who talked to us about the internship, and honestly i felt that she was not into me. So maybe i should’ve went with my gut feeling from there to not apply. Ugh. But i had no choice coz im running out of time, and that’s the only company who has accepted me so far.
