Now that cirri have passed the 45-day window, my opinion on them has stabilized. I’m still not a fan of horses. I am a fan of how well they scry. The skin scene is middling; lots of high-quality art, but not much that says “buy me now,” since they don’t have the wing space for the kind of scenic skins I enjoy.
So: mid-tier ancient. I like scrying them and recommending them to others, but I don’t actively want more in my lair. But if a cirrus scry saves a g1 of mine, I’ll happily go for it.

It’s been a turbulent couple of days for horse girls (non gender specific), since cirrus flair was dramatically changed right at the end of the 45-day window. The “wings” were unchanged, but the whole template got shifted for secondary areas (mane, chest/leg/rump tufts, tail). Some colors got more gradient; some got less; some were just different. Everyone was wildly upset, since they’d breedchanged and gened dragons based on the prior version. All day Tuesday a firestorm raged in the forums. I ate buckets of popcorn. Then Wednesday morning the change got reverted. Thanks, Undel! As far as I’m concerned, it’s no harm, no foul, and props to the staff for a fast and decisive response.
This won’t stop me from geneing dragons at launch. I have too much fun with impulse projects. Pixel dragon money is meant to be spent and enjoyed in the moment. I did have a launch project ruined by a gene change (Sharliss, my f fathom, whom I wound up selling for 30kt) but, meh, if it happens it happens. Most changes aren’t bad enough that I’d ditch a dragon. I had two cirri affected by the flair issue. Mortizar (cerulean) was worse off (his mane changed from a nice blue-green gradient to a uniform yellowish-green), but it still worked with his other colors. Vizier (banana) was arguably improved, since he got a more vivid gradient on his chest tufts.
Meanwhile, newbie started playing Umamusume, a horse girl gacha (gender specific). This game has so much dialogue and none of it is good. HGR termed it “waifu slop.” newbie and I were like, what were you expecting? Apparently, he was expecting an actual horse game. “They should at least be centaurs,” he opined. He also predictably took issue with the description of the campaign as “roguelike.” “newbie, I want you to explain how this is like the game Rogue.”
