Today I learned Elmo is canonically three and a half years old. Kinda weird. It’s not out of character, but I just always thought of him as an ageless figure.
A few years back, I had a project to write down one new thing I learned every day. I kept it up for a couple months, then forgot about it. When I returned (six months? a year?) later to review the list, I found I had forgotten most of the items. The ones I remembered were generally pieces of information I had been regularly using since then—i.e., things I would have remembered anyway. So the project was mostly useless.
But I think I will remember this one. Surprising lore about a childhood character. That seems like something that would stick in my head long-term, right?
