Today, I decided to write a short story instead of my usual daily entry.
The main reason I do this is to practise some vocabulary and grammar for my English exam.
Enjoy the short story, everyone!

Today is by far the noisiest day I have ever experienced. At no time could I take off my headphones today. The exposure of the noises is something I cannot handle today. Nevertheless, I try my best to fit in in this noisy world. As the sensory overload gradually worsens, I'm searching for something to calm me down. Or, to put it in another way, something I could immerse myself in. I stepped into a small video game store. Unlike the bigger video game stores, this one is not overrun with people.
"Good afternoon, can I help you with something?"
"No, thank you!" I smiled at the shop assistant.
Recently, I watched a video where somebody showed a new game. It's an RPG game. It's about a scientist who discovered the truth behind a huge company.
I should ask the shop assistant about the game.
"Do you sell X?"
"Yes, it's over there."
"Thank you."
Quickly, I grab a copy of the game and walk to the checkout. I am looking forward to playing the game. I was about to leave the store when I bumped into somebody. I looked up at the person's face. This is so embarrassing! Why am I so clumsy?
"I am sorry!"
Quickly, I run to the train station. The noise at the train station is deafening. At least it's not nearly as bad as the noise on the streets.
As soon as I opened my door, I changed my work clothes into the dress I wear at home. After that, I ate dinner. On TV, they are talking about animals in the heart of the jungle. I don't care about animals in the jungle, so I switched the channel. Now they are talking about pristine beaches and turquoise waters. I don't care about that either, so I turn off the TV. I don't need a TV channel where people illustrate their perfect vacation. In addition to it, why do they like beaches? I hate sand so much. At least it's beautiful. This might be the reason why so many people like to go to the beach.
After lunch, I started the game I bought at the video game store.
"Create a new account"
So I created a new account.
"First, you need to answer a few questions before we create your character."
Right, I forgot about it. The game decides who you are.
"What differentiates you from other people?"
Is there something that differentiates me from other people? Some days, I feel like only I have sensory issues. This is something I could type in.
"What is something you need to improve?"
Easy answer! My communication skills are horrible. In other words, I struggle with talking to other people. I struggle with establishing a good friendship. Am I broken? Is there something wrong with me?
"Name at least three things you like."
This is such a difficult task. I don't even know what I like. Video game, maybe? Too long have I been thinking about this question. In the end, I came up with a few things I like.
"Thank you. Have fun in the new world!"
...
After closing my eyes for a second, I am in a different room. In other words, I am not in my room. I hear dull noises from afar. While I am not in my room, I can walk around. I wonder when it happened. After a short walk, I am standing in the heart of a village. I don't know this place. In addition to the new place, I see people with animal features. This is such a weird place. I like this place. Rarely do you find such a peaceful place. While I was walking around, I bumped into somebody. Again?!
"I am sorry!"
"May I ask you something? Are you the same person who bumped into me earlier?"
"How do you know that?"
"Just a silly guess."
I can't believe I met him twice. I thought I would never see him again! I hope I don't come across weirdly!
"I can show you around. Do you have some time left?"
"Yes, thank you."
The tall person has shown me around the village. He goes on about the relationship of every single villager. Not once has the stopped talking. Slowly, I get to grips with the relationships in the village.
"Thank you."
"No problems. Do you have a place to live?"
"Not yet."
"You can stay at my place for a couple of days."
"Is this okay? Thank you."
Little did I know about his house. After opening the front door, I noticed the beautiful buildings. It looks like the interior of a well-off family.
"I have a room for guests. You can sleep there tonight."
"Thank you."
"Don't fret! Most of the time, I am all by myself. It's nice to have some company."
"I understand."
I wonder why I am in this remote village. First of all, I need to survive the first night. This house is not nearly as loud as my room. It's not noisy at all. I think I like it here.
"You have a pleasant expression on your face."
"I feel happy here."
"Looks like somebody has just found a place where they belong."
I want to stay here ...
I finally found a place where I can relax.
