Welcome to Flying Mode, the new Pokemon Sleep challenge mode!
Been looking forward to expert mode since it was announced. I’m enjoying making and adjusting teams on the fly and getting to use pokemon I wouldn’t normally use. However, flying twice in a row? Really?? I’m lucky I had an egg/egg Delibird that I could haul to level 30. My other flying choices are a level 14 Swablu, level 13 Rufflet, and level 15 Doduo. (Rufflet and Doduo are awful/unusable. Swablu is technically usable (berry finder @ 25) but would compete with Altaria for candy.)
Week 1: flying | normal | dragon | boost: 0% | bonus: ingredients
Week 2: flying | dark | bug | boost: 5% | bonus: ingredients
Week 3: ice | ghost | flying | boost: 10% | bonus: skills
Week 4: fire | water | electric (event lineup) | boost: 15% | bonus: ingredients
I have zero knowledge of Pokemon, I know who Pikachu is and that is pretty much it haha. But it always sounds like a lot of fun and sounds really interesting when people talk about it. Is there like an officially game or website where people all play Pokemon and like it works kind of similar to webkinz (Webkinz was this game I played as a kid where you collect these Webkinz stuffed animals and there is this online world/game and you would like enter the unique password or ID or whatever on the actual stuffed animal in and then you would have it also in the game world. I always assumed Pokemon worked the same but with cards, you collect the card and then whatever cards you have you also have them in the game? I'm not sure though that is always how I thought it worked.
@rachelrae2003 There are a lot of different pokemon games! It's a bit confusing because they aren't all collected in a single website/app. The main series games are adventure games where you play as a Pokemon trainer. Those are currently on Switch. There's also the trading card game (I used to collect the cards as a kid, I still have a binder of cards somewhere). That's just separate, you don't get anything in-game for having them.
And there's a lot of spinoff games. Pokemon Sleep (this one) is basically a sleep tracking app on your phone. You sleep with the phone near you and it tracks your sleep. Then when you wake up, you can catch pokemon based on how well you slept. You use the pokemon to raise a Snorlax (a notoriously sleepy Pokemon) by feeding him meals and berries.
