this month has kinda sucked. ready for october but also not ready bc i don't want to do halloween storytime (i'm very boring so it's not as fun as my coworkers')
i need to finish the book for my book club and finish the discussion questions. i'm not really vibing but one of the members finished and said she liked it. excited to get more details about why. idk what kind of activity i'm going to do
money is very hard right now. supposed to start with new therapist next week but i might need to push it to november so i can afford it
patrons have been acting up at work. a particular coworker i don't want to interact with (due to past issues that are just below traumatic) has been finding reasons to talk to me. so for the time being, anything i need to report to her will go through my supervisor so i can get a break.
interlibrary loans are going away october 1st bc of federal funding cuts for libraries. we've had 1 person call to see if she could donate money to keep it going for longer, but she probably doesn't realize that it's 5-6 digits in cost lol. i'm personally glad it's going bc there's only one person in the ILL department who knows what she's doing. the manager ran off everyone else who knew how to process them. we've probably wasted a lot of money bc of the manager and new staff processing them incorrectly
it's a great resource for books out of print or not available through our vendor, but it causes more problems than not these days. we offer a lot of services that are great in theory but a good portion of our patrons don't know how to act like reasonable adults
my jaw keeps trying to pop out of place again, and i can't really go see my oral surgeon. so i just try to figure it out lol
this was supposed to be more organized since i haven't journaled in several days but i want to lie down so it's over for today
