I forgot to write a journal entry on this, but it must've been a month or two ago in which the 15 pound plastic kettlebell I had split open. I was trying to do weighted push ups with the kettlebell on my back, and this was a bad idea because it would not balance. i had never done any weighted push-ups with a kettlebell before, but I thought it was a good idea.
As I was doing a single push-up, it fell to the ground and splattered. I'm not sure how or why it would crack, but it did. Parts of the handle basically broke off, and I finally found out what was inside. It was tiny ground up black rocks. The sort you would fine on a road, that roads are seemingly made out from, but I don't think it was that, it just looked like that. The rocks were line up all around the entire kettlebell, from the bottom, all the way up the handles and everywhere, leaving no space for them to wiggle. This is why the kettlebell was silent and felt solid in its intact form, when you shook it it never made a sound, but it was actually hollow the whole time (no pun intended), just filled with rocks.
.I ended up buying two kettlebells this morning, I had been eyeing them for a while, but I just went ahead and bit the bullet on them. I bought two 20 pound kettlebells for $30 each today. They are like $20 online, but I didn't want to burden the delivery guy with having to carry 40 pounds in a single package, so I just bought them at a local store. This time the kettlebells I bought are entirely made of metal, so they won't break if they fall, they will just break the floor instead, which is actually worse.
