I started exercising again as of yesterday, and I feel great. Super great. The exercises I am doing every day are listed below, as part of my habits. I completed them all today.
There's not going to be any change in my physical appearance for weeks or over a month, probably, but my fitness will change and improve. I am already starting to feel fitness improvements just on the second day. I am able to do pull-ups and chin-ups so much more easily now. My hand is becoming more callused too though. Push-ups and squats are becoming easier too.
Last year I did like 500 push-ups in a day or something, and 300 squats in a day, or something like that. Now that was annoying to get through and do. I did that for a few days. Compared to that, what I am doing now is basically nothing, but I still think it's beneficial. I have to start from this level because it's been a long time since I exercised thoroughly.
It really is true, that if you take a break from working out, your fitness declines a lot. It's no wonder that fit people go to the gym nearly every day. I always thought that once you gained your muscle, you don't have to work out anymore, but that's not true. Once you become fit, once you gain the endurance or strength that you wanted, you have to exercise all the time to maintain it, or else it goes away. I never really thought about that before, but it's definitely true.
It's the same in any area, really. Although if you reach a high level of mastery, you may still be better than average, and if you come back to something you haven't done in years, you will probably be at an intermediate level, but you won't be anywhere near as good as before. In any of the video games where I reached a high level, enough that I have beaten the game, knew the full story, knew everything about the game, became a top player in a game, etc. in any of them, if I come back to them now, I would suck at them. I would have to start at a beginner level, and be just as bad as ever.
I guess this really applies to every area of life, every area of life. If there's something we don't continue to maintain, it just goes away. I don't think I can unlearn typing, just because I do it every day. But wow, imagine if I didn't have access to a computer or keyboard for a while, then when I come back to it, everything would be so foreign. I would be like a complete novice, just like how most people are to me. When I see practically anyone, they are basically all beginners compared to me at computers, but that's because I'm on the computer all the time, I have been on a computer since childhood, I have total mastery of it, at an extremely high level few people can even comprehend, I can pretty much do anything with any computer or system, I have full mastery and knowledge.
But yeah, if I stopped using a computer for several years, like 5 years for example, and I come back to it, everything computer related would be foreign to me. I would be just like anyone else who doesn't know much about computers. I pretty much know how everything works, how browsers work, how wi-fi works, how the graphics work, how the sound works, how the hardware works, how the mouse work. Even if I can't recall how something works, I have worked with it in the past, whatever it is, literally anything, I have experience doing everything. Oh, actually, I have limited experience working with AI and creating AI, it was something I learned about in the early 2010s, training models and such, but I never got into doing any of it.
Anyway, I am very tired. I think today was an accomplished day. I am so freaking tired. I honestly do not know if I can keep this workout routine up every single day, but at the same time, I basically have no choice.
