It was an ugly, cold fall day with not a hint of blue in the sky, and I was in the mood for soup. So I went to Tomo's Market for lunch. The food there is served cafeteria-style; you get whatever you want and pay by weight.
I got a bowl of corn chowder alongside my usual mac & cheese and some other stuff (Mexican today; street corn and tamales). But the plasticware dispenser was out of spoons. Forks only. So I sat there alternately eating the chowder ingredients with a fork and drinking broth from the bowl, looking like some kinda moron who is unfamiliar with the concept of soup.
I was done with the rest of my meal and halfway through my soup when an employee finally came by to refill the dispenser. I got myself a spoon and enjoyed the rest of my chowder in peace. Pretty good fare on a blustery day.
I love soup, corn chowder is delicious! Soup is perfect for miserable grey fall/winter days. Very warm and comforting
