Quick Entry for Today

Just wanted to get this done quick while my 10yo is telling me a Five Nights at Freddy's story (he was helping me brainstorm a fanfic idea) before we watch some Voltron. Not sure I'll have time after we're done watching so...

Today went well. I didn't sleep again. Like tossed and turned all night. I don't like it. Not sure if it's the new meds, new insomnia or something else. I think I'll keep taking the meds as directed, but if it keeps happening, I'll have to do something because I can't deal with not sleeping.

Despite the crappy sleep, I felt okay this morning, especially after making coffee. I spent most of the day working on my new cross stitch project since I can't really work on it at night because it's too dark in my room to see the stitches--so I try to get as much done during the day as I can. Around 12:30pm, me and the 10yo went up the hill again with some lunch (this time just a bagel with mozzarella and pepperoni). He read for about an hour while I knitted. Then we walked home the long way and I went back to cross stitching.

That was pretty much my entire day. The highlight was probably my cat, Silver, using the litter box. I swear I was like a new mom with a toddler that just potty-trained. This cat just turned two-years-old in July and has never used a litter box before. He always went on the floor unless we let him outside. If you put him in the litter box, he would freak out (just like our oldest cat who turned four on the same day and just started using the litter box himself a couple months ago). I was just so excited to see him in the litter box. It means I don't have to worry so much about making sure he goes out several times a day.

Anyway, I didn't do anything else today--no chores or babysitting. Now we're going to watch Voltron until Jack needs to go to bed then I might have to try to write down some of these ideas he's coming up with for my fanfic.
