Some Lucky Things Today

Some very fortunate things happened today, it's weird.

Yeah I fell asleep last night shortly after writing that sentence. Anyway, today has been a pretty good day. I fell asleep very early, before 11 PM I think, and I woke up very early too, at a bit before 6 AM. I worked on some of my own personal projects in the morning, and then I had work.

Work was alright. I had just one main thing to work on so that's mainly what I worked on throughout the day. It wasn't a bad experience at all. I like it when there's only one set of tasks I have to work on at work, instead of dozers of tasks for several different projects at once. Technically I have several projects that I need to work on, but right now there's some that are much higher priority.

After work I can't really say I did anythnig productive. I did complete my homework early again, but not super early, just an hour or two earlier than it was due. I ended up watching some movies again, some I have already seen before, and I liked them.

Watching old movies I saw a long time ago doesn't quite bring up the same feelings they used to. Things changed I guess, and now that I have access to tens of thousands of movies online, they each kind of become less meaningful. It wasn't like 10 years ago where there were only a handful of animated films released for example and most of them you could say were very good, nowadays there's a bazillion animated films and they're still good, but just because there's so many they each lose a little bit of meaning.

Time travel films are probably my favorite genre, and they're the kind I watch the most. Again just 10 years ago I would say there were only a handful of these in existence, and now time travel has become a very common trope. Even top movies like Avengers End Game and Deadpool 2 have time travel as a trope. Actually I wouldn't say the amount of time travel films has increased exponentially since 2010, but it's been used very commonly as a trope I guess.

Anyway the lucky things might've not been so lucky? Who knows? I just signed up for some thing and was one of the many winners. It's worth nothing as far as I'm aware. I'll write about it later to see if this was a good event or a neutral one or even a bad one to have one, I'm leaning towards it being neutral, basically having no effect. Anyway I do end up winnning some of these events sometimes, but most of the time I don't. I don't know whether it was good to have won or not.

Other than that, nothing else really happened today. Stress is mounting for the project I'm working on though.
