Another Very Productive Day

8:37 AM (of Thursday, November 19th 2020)

Today is Wednesday, November 18th 2020 and today has been another very productive day much like yesterday. I woke up this morning, used the bathroom, and then went out for a walk. Unlike yesterday, this time I wore pants and I put on socks and shoes, because it was very cold yesterday and I wanted to feel a bit more comfortable as I walked today. It was a lot colder today than yesterday, I think the temperature was a bit below freezing. It was windy too, and I almost turned around and went back home at a certain point because it was so uncomfortable. I just bared with it for about 5 minutes though and then I quickly got used to it, the rest of the walk was easier.

When I got back home, I wrote up yesterday's entry and ate some breakfast. I actually started playing Beat Saber for a bit too before I did anything else, but it was so cold on my balcony, since that's where I usually play, with the wind blowing and the cold floor, that I couldn't bare to stay outside for long. I didn't even last one song before I went back in.

Work was one of my busiest days. Possibly my busiest day while working from home. I can't ever be sure though because every time I have very busy days like this, it feels like it was busier than my previous busy days. Anyway I basically worked on a bunch of stuff today and that ended up taking all my time at work. I didn't even finish until around 6 PM, at that point I had basically taken no breaks and worked throughout that entire time.

After work I was exhausted. I took a break by reading some manga online for a bit. I had homework due too, but man that was so boring to work on, especially after work, that I couldn't get myself to do it early. Instead I read some manga until around 10 PM, two hours before the homework was due, before I actually started working on it.

The way I do homework is I don't do any of the reading that's assigned, which I really should because these subjects are extremely difficult to me. What I do is I just look at the questions, and then try to do research to find the answer. I was working on a lot of math questions tonight, and those are harder to answer if I don't read the material. I didn't read the material though and just worked with what I knew, and was able to mostly solve them. I'm not sure though. It's a mistake not to do the reading for these math assignments, so I'll probably have to play catch-up this weekend while it's still early in the term.

Anyway that was my day today! It was a very productive one because I was busied with work and school today. I also got my 3.3 miles of walking today. Other than that, there really wasn't much else. I just spent the rest of the time taking a break.

@iyazo A lot! I visit manga sites and there's a bunch on the front page with updates. There's manga (Japanese, black and white), manwha (Korean, and colored), and manhua (Chinese and colored). I pretty much start many of these and read all the way to their latest chapter, most of these are "Ongoing" so they have no conclusion yet. I've read so freaking many. The manga tend to be a lot longer than the mangwa and manhua, so I mostly read the manwha and manhua.

These are a huuuuge waste of time though. These stories actually have no underlying plot majority of the time and events in the story are basically written on the spot. Most of these stories have no ending because of that. The main characters are also ALWAYS overpowered in some way (special powers, special circumstances, etc), and then they encounter some "hard" event most people can't overcome (5 people ganging up on someone, a super hard puzzle no one has been able to complete), and then they conquer these events without even trying. It's like that in 99% of these comics.

It's so predictable but so addicting.

@JustMegawatt I can understand that as I do read some and watch anime. It really is all like that lol

@iyazo Yeah, now thinking back on it, even a "classic" like DBZ had the same premise. No main story basically, just a bunch of random events tied together, seemingly written on the spot, and the main characters overcome every situation they encounter although not effortlessly. The trend nowadays is characters are exceptionally overpowered, like literally the most powerful character in their series, bar none and they conquer every situation without any effort.

At least in DBZ there were other saiyans, in these new manga/manhua/manhwa coming out in 2020, every other character is inferior to the main character x1000. There are so many series now where the main character is not only the smartest person in school + gets into best university effortlessly, but they are also the strongest and richest character in the entire series. These characters are so strong if every other character in the entire series went up against the main character at the same time, the main character would win and without effort.

@iyazo Oh and harems too, every main character has a harem these days.

@JustMegawatt lol true.... but that's why I like genres other than mainstrean action, though a lot is still like that
