Today is Friday, January 8th 2020, last workday for the week. I didn't get much sleep the night before, pretty much because I stayed up a bit late and then my parents waking up also woke me up. I don't think I've gotten over 6 hours of sleep the past few days, which sucks. It's entirely under my control too, so I don't get why I don't get the sleep I need.
Anyway this is what my schedule looked like today:
When I woke up, I just continued from where I left off last night, and finished installing Archlinux on my computer. This time I was able to install everything I needed before work started and I was able to connect to the Internet.
Work was atypical. It was a lot more relaxed than usual because I finished all my work for one client basically yesterday. I still had work to do for another client, but that was not as urgent, so I was able to chill a bit more.
After work I did a lot of organization. For some reason I cleaned up my room, and made it super clean and organized. Not sure what overcame me to do this, but yeah there's a lot less junk in my room now and things are extremely well organized.
I also set up my computer to look somewhat cool and aesthetic. Do the screenshots look cool? It's hard to read in the screenshots, but those are actually my journal entries and some music. It took me hours and hours to set everything up like this. I don't use my computer like how the screenshots show at all, usually I use applications like Firefox in full-screen, those screenshots are there purely for show-off purposes. If I were out in public, like in a library, then maybe I'd use my computer like in those screenshots just to look cool. But most of the time at home, I'd rather just use some application full screen.
Anyway I didn't plan on doing this with my computer. I didn't plan on installing Arch and making my computer look cool, because yeah it looks cool, but doesn't serve any useful functionality. I was planning on installing Qubes and creating a bunch of virtual machines everywhere. That's what I got the 128GB RAM for, but other than that usecase there's no use for this much RAM. There's nothing I do on a daily basis that even comes close to 32GB ram, let alone 64, or let alone 128GB. Will I ever utilize it for anything?
I don't remember much else of what I did today.
