Today is Wednesday, March 24th 2021 and it was another normal work day today. I fixed some issues here and there, got a few things done, but overall not that much.
I did some strength exercises today of course, and I played Beat Saber for several hours today. I really hate sweating a lot because I have to wash the clothes by hand afterwards. It's such an annoying thing. But I do like playing Beat Saber and I'm getting quite good at the game. I've been playing solo this whole time, but I think if I played online again I'd be able to dominate in every song basically. Every song is easy to me now, except the Camellia songs, those are still hard and I still fail them.
I didn't go outside today, though I really should to get that Vitamin D in. For my skin tone, I need about 20-30 minutes of direct sunlight a day. Human photosynthesis. I haven't gone outside in days though and when I did go out it was already sun-down basically.
Today my friend texted me saying he was back from Colombia. He told me how cheap everything there was, and I checked Airbnb, it was $10 a night rent in some areas. Unbelievably cheap. That's Airbnb too so everything is provided. Renting an apartment would be even cheaper. Of course, that's if you're coming in with those US Dollars. If you're working with the native Peso there, you're not going to be earning $10 an hour like in the US, $10 an hour would be a wealthy person over there. He told me he went mainly to get out of the state, but it was likely for some other reason which he told me all about.
Tonight my parents called me in a video call and told me some package arrived for me. It was from some university and I told them that was my Associate's degree. They opened it up, and sure enough it was! I finally have my first degree. I signed up for college back in 2012, dropped out in 2013, got into another school in 2014/2015, dropped out in 2016, and then I re-enrolled at another school in 2016, and 5 years later I have my Associate's. Yeah! I must've been the slowest person to ever get their associate's degree.
Luckily in 2014 I was fortunate enough to get a job without a degree, which helped me gain experience, which gave me more credibility to be able to get other jobs later on. Still, some employers are like "No degree, no job", so I avoid applying for those and just go for the employers I can get a job with. It is really hard by the way to get a job without a degree, like I mentioned I have been extremely fortunate to land them. Like, basically a one in a ten-thousand chance to land a job without a degree and without any credentials, but somehow fortune struck for me and I was able to get them.
I didn't really update my resume or anything though, since I'm not looking for any new work at the moment. All I know is now I can add that to my resume. I hope people will hire my company though, Stealth Launch LLC, which I think has already been formed in Puerto Rico and I can actually start the process of having my current employer hire it.
Anyway that was my day today.
Just play Beat Saber in the nude with the windows blocked lol XD then you can just shower and put on clean clothes after, maybe? I get that it would probably feel strange at first though
Man I wish I could stay in a place for only $10 that sounds awesome! Too bad I don't have a passport and can only speak English, though.
Congrats on finally getting your degree!!
@iyazo Sounds like fun! I'll try that right now... Beat Saber in the nude, and then shower after. I just fear the mosquito bites, but oh well, this is just for fun. Gonna try it!!!
@JustMegawatt Hopefully all of the moving around kept the mosquitos away! There has to be a good way to keep those buggers outside
