Merlin Dumbledore's Regretful Playlists
JK. I regret NOTHING! Listen to these tracks in this order and something incredible will happen to you! YES! Magical Arrangement of obscure tunes of my choosing. How will you find these songs! *I've included links to the real "deep cuts" from bands that aren't featured on most free streaming services. I might add a few words about the track or how I came upon it.
Mixtape Title: "Soap Bubbles"
- No One Ever Drowns- Steve Wynn and The Miracle 3 (Album: Northern Aggression. Cool "making of" the album video on YouTube HERE.) I just recently started listening to this band and I'm really digging this album. I haven't moved onto their other material, yet. I often get hung up on one album and will put it into my listening rotation for weeks at a time.
- Consider the Source- Steve Wynn and The Miracle 3 *Same album. Listening to it now. It's mellow and mystical. I recommend sipping a fine scotch and chillaxing hard while enjoying this one.
- Loading Zones- Kurt Vile I've been a fiend for this band and this track in particular for many months now. It's on my top 100 list, which I may post here in micro-installments.
- Hey Sandy- Polaris From The Adventure of Pete and Pete. One of my favorite shows from my childhood.
- I've Got A Fang- They Might Be Giants I like this song. I love this band.
- Jesus is Just Alright With Me- The Doobie Brothers
- Love Is The Drug- Roxy Music (featured in the excellent live-action Super Mario Bros Movie! I liked it, anyway)
- Meat Puppets- Up On The Sun
- Terriblething- Mehrunes Dagon - https://terriblething.bandcamp.com/album/the-depths-of-krang *this band is awesome. Nice Elder Scrolls reference there. I really enjoyed "Oblivion", but I never finished it.
- Custard- The Wahooti Fandango (from my favorite video game soundtrack, "Quarantine" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RvUntVTLGJk&t=375s
