Today is Thursday, April 14th 2022 and we went to Tulúm today after a quick breakfast. Now this trip was worth it. It was $29 per person on TripAdvisor but we had to pay another $15 extra for a mandatory trip to two cenotes, so basically $44 per person (easier to round to $45 though).
The trip to Chichén Itzá and whatever other places yesterday was $145 per person, and that trip was alright. Chichén Itzá was cool, but I just thought our trip to Tulum was a lot better. The cenotes that we went to and also the bus ride trip, were way better and much more fun than the Chichén Itzá trip.
We sat near the front of the bus, and our tour guide was this guy called Martin. He spoke in both English and Spanish during the trip, and I could understand both! That’s what made this bus ride so fun for me. I spoke to him and asked questions and stuff in Spanish, and that was a lot of fun. I also talked to the other bus passengers for fun, and that also made it more fun.
At Tulum, it was basically just this village with a lot of buildings made with stone, all ruins now basically, right next to the beach. I took some photos here but most of them turned out bad, and I’m not uploading those. I never got to see any of the parts of Tulum that people upload on Instagram, about the giant wooden structure and fancy pools and stuff. None.
Also how am I supposed to compete against male Instagram models? When I search for Tulum on Instagram, there’s a lot of these guys that are very muscular shirtless and they look very handsome in comparison to me. I know I should not be comparing myself to others, but this is just fun and motivation for me. I want to get to their level. Maybe I don’t want to look that good because I fear getting too much attention, wait does that even make sense? Maybe I should aim to be exactly their level.
When I take my shirt off in front of the mirror I don’t look anywhere near as good as any of the Instagram models. My face looks nice though, I really like my face, but I am still quite fat. The angles in these photos I uploaded make me look nice, like I’m not fat, but I think that’s just the angles and lighting. There are also pictures minutes within each other that make me look fat and bad, but I am not going to be uploading those pictures obviously.
After Tulum we went to this Cenote place. This was fun, the water was cold again, but I still swam in it. This was so fun. I swam around an open cave in fresh water, and you really can sink unlike at a salt water beach. I should know that already though because I’ve been to a lot of freshwater places already.
Thats pretty much it! At night we went out some party places in Cancun and the music there was loud and there was lots of dancing and everything. We went to the grocery store and afterwards we ate at this restaurant called La Tequilleria and they had an entire part of their menu that was all vegan, it was labeled that way. That was cool. Villainos, the restaurant we ate at last night I think, also had a vegan section in their menu and Villainos was cheaper and was just right outside the Nyx hotel, but my parents still wanted to eat somewhere new so that’s why we went to La Tequilleria.
Uhh yeah that’s all that happened today. I am not really sure what else to say. It was a fun trip to these places.
Oh yeah, at Tulum, I was waking down the path and there was this group of young women, college age, looking some structure. I was walking by and one of them was like “let’s go over there next” and she extended her arm out not paying attention as I was walking by and hit me in the face basically. She made this really shocked gesture and was like “omg I’m so sorry” and I just smiled and said “haha no worries.” I thought she was really attractive.
Uhh what else. I guess that’s it. Not much else happened today.
