Private Activities and Managing Habitica Challenges

6:26 AM (of Tuesday, May 12th 2020)

Today is Sunday but I'm writing this a few days later. I did write an entry for today on Sunday, but there might have been some private stuff on there that I did not want published. Yeah I think it's better if some things are left private. I do have an entry for that day and it's still on my account, but I'm just leaving it private so only I can look back at it. It's nothing at all bad or serious, just events in that day that would rather be better private rather than out in the public, in my opinion.

I'll write about what it's like managing Habitica challenges. I run several of them and close them off every 10 days. It's basically a lot of manual work, I have to download the data of people and sometimes there's over 100 people who participated for a single challenge, I have to verify who did all of the dailies for at least 7 days in a row, and then put them into a list. Then I use a randomizer to choose a winner, an example is , you can just put a list of names in there and it will choose one randomly. Then I make the winner announcements, close off the challenges, and make the new ones for the next 10 days.

I do like running those challenges and perhaps I can make some more. The only complaint I would have is that it does take time to do, I would have to dedicate around an hour or two every 10 days to managing each of the challenges. My top two favorite challenges are the daily journaling one and the daily vegan one, but I do like them all, those two just have a better personal meaning to me.

Anyway, closing off the challenges was what I did at night. In general the rest of the day, I worked a lot on some personal projects throughout the entire day. I did not go out and exercise, just because I think I overexerted myself the day before, and I was so tired the next day (which was today, Sunday, May 10th). I mostly just laid in bed, working on my laptop, and taking a break to watching videos every now and then. There's so much time available on the weekend now, that I sometimes have to look for purposefully wasteful time activities just because sometimes I don't have anything else to do and I need a break from working so much too.
