And we’re off! I forgot how slow it is to discover all the cryptids (and I didn’t expect to have to rediscover the ones from last year, although it makes sense). There’s a lot of speculation that the cryptid rate might have been nerfed. I’m unsure, but I encourage people to complain as much as possible because it worked in the Valentine’s event: the encounter rate got buffed for the entire month.
Here’s the scoreboard as of 18:30 WDT. Obviously it’s very early, but it gives you an idea of who’s pushing. Slight adjustment from my projected event leaderboard: Petrichor didn’t roll, but Caspian (very elderly NBW, rolls every few months or so) did, so the net result is the same.
