I got a notification on my den page that the father of one of my pups had passed away. (Maybe he died of old age, maybe he was chased from his den. It didn't say.) I had to plant a tree stump in my pup's den so that the father's ghost could inhabit the stump, enabling the pup to keep his stat gains from the father.
