I walked down the hall of my parents' house, looked in the guest bedroom, and found the floor was thick with fallen leaves. The bedside window was open, and there was an enormous pile of dust next to the bed (presumably, it blew in through the window, just like the leaves).
I shoved the pile of dust out the window onto the overhanging roof, then had second thoughts: my parents are very particular about trash disposal, and what if they didn’t want dust on the roof? What if it would cause dust damming and water damage? I carefully swept the dust back inside and closed the window. I would ask them what to do with the dust later.
