The magenta soap project hasn’t even concluded, but it has spawned four new keepers: Dippin’ Dots, Mirzzen, Amaranthe, and Arcadion. Truly this is a ruinous section of the color wheel. (editor’s note: Dippin’ Dots and Mirzzen aren’t even in the target section of the color wheel)

- TRUTH. IN. LOGGING. In May/June, I bought a koi boi to mate with Xirina for breed-out-the-ugly and the magenta soap project. He was just going to be a breed-and-yeet, but let’s be honest, he’s had three nests with his wildclaw gf, he deserves a spot in the log.
- I’m reluctant to move him on because I don’t want to cut off this branch of the family. A weird kind of family tree FOMO. Xirina doesn’t strike me as the perpetual player type (see: Zeke); I’d prefer she have a steady bf with a gem tert.
- (stage whisper: we don’t NEED Altioris to produce Razanei descendants with gem terts. we have Dippin’ Dots, Ziminiar, Mirzzen, Arcadion, and soon-to-be Maboroshi. we are FINE.)
- Amaranthe (July 7, 7g): male coatl | wine starmap | orca constellation | mauve koi
- Bought this guy as a mate for the magenta soap project. He wasn’t a good mate due to being +4 AND having the wrong tert gene, but, well, he wound up staying. See the entry on Arcadion, below.

- tbh castrovalva is doing the work of the Eleven with their massive progen breeding project. Imagine just buying a progen g5 off the shelf. I can pair him with a Lysander/Fensariel kid for g6s.

- I saw the Mech Pilot TCC skin and was like “This is it. I’m getting a snapper.” First snapper in clan! She’s also an Ice Planet fandragon. (gotta decide if she is genderbent Wing Commander or an entirely new character)

- natural primal! I dithered over this for nearly two months. but honestly it was a bit of a fake dither. of course we’re keeping the primal.

- Magenta soap project hatchling. Observe the mission creep:
- I’m working on breeding a Razanei descendant with magenta soap.
- As a potential project mate, I bought Amaranthe, a coatl with mauve koi (+4).
- Later, I ditched all mates that didn’t have soap, but Amaranthe seemed too good to fodder. I thought I MIGHT do a side project to BREED him a mate with mauve koi.
- I bred this pup, went to find her a mate, and discovered the ONLY mauve koi male on AH was Amaranthe’s cousin.
- Then I scried the pup and observed that ultramarine noxtide goes perfectly with her eyes AND the koi. Ultramarine is so specific! I’m not gonna be able to breed another one of these!
- And that’s why I need to buy a gem gene lololol
- She was born on the day we started raiding M1 savage, so it’s kinda fitting? (Amaranthe’s gf was always going to be named Arcadion, but the timing is a neat coincidence)

- Raiden (f mirror, Razanei x Caspian, primal) (gifted to worm): one in, one out! I like this dog, but not enough to keep. it’s been seven months, including two new breed releases, and I haven’t been able to commit to a scry for her. that’s pretty telling.
- Mortimer (f obelisk, raspberry/raspberry/mauve koi): …two in, one out? she’s been feeling unnecessary for a while, and now downright redundant with Amaranthe/Arcadion
