[Wolf spotlight: The Black Brigade]
The Black Brigade is one of our third-generation hunting teams—successor to Rule the World, which was successor to The Reckoning, our OG squad. All Black Brigade members made the hunter leaderboards (though Janloon took her time getting there). In fact, Bullet Liger, Rubedo, and Megistos were on both the speed and agility leaderboards. You guys were the best :o7:

Cabeswater | stalker for The Black Brigade | starting stats: 544 | final stats: 1289 (+745)
Third-generation stalker, son of Azure, son of Cobalt Snowclone. He's very serious about his job. He doesn't say much, but he enjoys being in the den while his more boisterous friends hang out, like warming oneself by a nice fire.
He's the hardest worker of the squad. He always levels up a few hunts before everyone else. On 3/4/22, he achieved the distinction of becoming the wisest wolf in the world!

The dynamic trio! All three are siblings (Rubedo and Megistos are full brothers, and Bullet Liger is their half-sister) and completely inseparable. Mess with one of them and you mess with them all.
Claw of Janloon | finisher for The Black Brigade | starting stats: 568 | final stats: 1310 (+742)
The smallest and the fiercest of her litter.
Her full name is pretty long, so she variously goes by "Claw," "Jan," or "Jack." (Jack is a hereditary nickname. Both her mom Moondew Jackal and her grandmom Jackfruit Cider used it. It gets a tad confusing sometimes.) Her mace is a family heirloom handed down through three generations of finishers.

(excerpt from the bio of CocoaSoot, a traveling wolf, when the Black Brigade pups were 2.5 months old)
Traveling through the taiga, CocoaSoot spotted a small pair of eyes staring at her through the undergrowth. It was a red-and-yellow wolf pup. CocoaSoot lowered her tail in a friendly manner, but the pup dashed away, yelping. Huh. Was she really that scary? She supposed she did cut an imposing figure, with her scars and the Mark of Odin emblazoned on her shoulder...
Another noise in the undergrowth caught her attention. This time it was a small green-furred pup, who leapt at her with a snarl and...bowled her over? Wtf?
An adult voice rang out: "Jan, stop it! Stop it right now!"
"I'm protecting the pack!!" yelled the green pup.
"No you are not!" The adult rushed in and hauled off the pup by the scruff of the neck.
CocoaSoot got to her feet and quickly continued on her way. That pup's sitter must have a lot of work on their paws, she mused.
