Today I completed more homework assignments, one was a discussion assignment and the other was a writing assignment. I worked on both of these for a good amount of time and was able to complete them both by 1 AM Thursday. I felt really sleepy by the time I completed these assignments so I immediately went to sleep.
This week we studied the big five personality traits, I took a test online and I don't remember the results from the top of my head, let me go look for it. Okay so I got 65% on openness, 37% on conscientiousness, 46% on extroversion, 52% on agreeableness, and 35% on neuroticism. I don't know what it means about my personality because the test didn't tell me. I just know that I am not conscientious enough. That's what I got from this personality test.
There was also some reading on worker motivation and the four factors that determined an employee's outlook on the job or something like that. The four factors from the top of my head are: Job Performance, Workplace Organization, Absenteeism, and Turnover. The only one I'm not sure about is Workplace Organization, it was something like that. It might have been workplace relationships or something. Anyway job performance relates to how well an employee does at their job and this can be metrically tracked with their quality, quantity, speed, and whether they're hitting the objectives of their work. Things that can affect job performance are things like stress, general intelligence levels, and the other three factors, with general intelligence having the highest effect.
Workplace organization was about the interpersonal relationships a worker had with others in the company. Absenteeism was how often an employee did not turn up for work or took an unexpected day off. Turnover was how often employees would quit/leave/get fired/etc.
