Can you believe that it's been 5 years since AYearAgo.Today was launched? Time sure goes by quickly.
5 years is a significant amount of time. So much can happen, and also so little can happen, in 5 years. AYearAgo.Today has always been a free to use public journaling website. Its ultimate goal to stand the test of time and be around forever, as an archive of people's lives who want to share their days publicly. Those who want to record private entries can also use it for that purpose.
Right now, even without any management, AYearAgo.Today can last on its own for a few years with how many credits it has left in its hosting servers. As long as its owners are alive, even more credits will be added, and the site will continue to be maintained and updated for years to come. Even if its owners are no longer alive, it should still stand on its own for years to come.
At some point, there will be very drastic updates such as premium features and even apps to be released for AYearAgo.Today, to help the website and its mission go even further. The site has continued to grow and expand its user base and reach on the Internet, even without many updates, without an app, and without any marketing.
Thank you to all the amazing users that keep this journaling website and community alive.
For those that want to reflect, there are some questions at the bottom of this post to answer. 5 years comes and goes relatively quickly. Spend some time reflecting and answering some of the questions at the bottom.
Just like last year, there hasn't been many updates to the website other than some bug fixes here and there. There were some improvements planned in the middle of the year last year, that are still under development and haven't been implemented yet. Expect to see those soon!
Here are our 5th year stats:
