I'm not sure what has awoken in me the past few days, but I am all charged up. There is no time for me to do any of my favorite pastime activities anymore, such as watching anime or playing video games (other than Beat Saber). I have been doing my daily exercises again starting yesterday, although I was only able to do 60 push-ups, 60 squats, and 60 leg raises, and it has been easy.
I am motivated in the most rational way, that I don't even want to spend any more time on any entertainment activities anymore because I simply do not have any more interest in them. This is something I've never experienced before, because each time I have tried to quit anime or video games, it was like I was stopping something I was addicted to. I kept wanting to watch anime, I kept wanting to play video games, and I was just forcing myself away from them to stop.
Now I'm experiencing something brand new, where I don't even have interest in them any more. I was going through some lists of different cartoons and anime, programs I really enjoyed watching at some point, and I watched a few minutes of some episode of a series, and wow, was that boring. Okay, I'll name the series I was watching, it was Gnosia, and it was like episode 12 or something like that. Prior to this I was watching Avatar: the Last Airbender (ATLA) again, like I did in my childhood. I was surprised that ATLA is actually not so episodic in its story, especially Book 1, it's more akin to an anthology with a common base, you can watch the episodes in basically any order.
There's also Avatar: The Legend of Korra (TLK) which I didn't get to watching this time around, but I saw it many years ago. TLK is much more episodic, meaning that every episode relates to the previous episode directly. With ATLA (The Last Airbender), the timeframe between each episode can be months, seriously, so it's why it seems like they are just doing one random adventure to the next, without any relation to the previous.
The most frustrating thing about Avatar in general, is that the firebender attacks never hit. They never hit. If a fire strike did hit someone, the only time I can recall is when Aang hit Katara by accident while playing with fire, not even intending it to be an attack, it severely burned her and disabled her. If a fire strike hit even once, the enemy would be toast, literally, and that would ruin the entire story, so the attacks just never land. Airbender attacks always attack though, because it's just air, and so do waterbender attacks, they always hit. The earthbender attacks hit too, especially other earthbenders who take them full force and it just crumples like hardened mud.
There was that one time Azula was able to lightning strike Aang, the Avatar and strongest character in the series, and it killed him. Seriously. He had to be revived for the story to progress. So yeah, there were basically only 2 instances in the entire series, oh and Zuko's permanent scar, oh and Iroh being hit once and being nearly killed, so 4 instances in the entire series where a fire attack landed, and it massively affected the one who was hit. Throughout the rest of the series, you will see a million fire attacks being thrown and none of them ever hit. None. Never. All the other element attacks do hit though.
So in this sense, fire is by far the strongest offensively. For writing purposes, they just didn't make it hit at all. I was misled to think that fire was the weakest because of this, because it seemed like all the other elements were able to make fire inconsequential, but that's just plot armor. If you just single out the instances where the fire attacks landed, all it takes is one fire strike to completely disable someone.
Anyway, yeah. I am no longer interested in watching anime or other entertainment. Well, adult entertainment might be different, because that is so entertaining. Still, I found a solution that would make me not watch any adult entertainment, even though I am interested. But yeah, I am bored of all games. I have access to some Roguelike games, which are arguably the most addicting games out there, and I don't even want to play them. I have access to all cartoons and anime that exist, and I don't even want to watch any.
This is at the helm of The Darwin Incident anime coming out, which is a vegan anime and something I should be super excited for. I bought the manga so I know the story, so I just don't feel like watching the Darwin Incident since I already know what happens, and it is really good. It's a really good story, I'm quitting these forms of entertainment, but I will rank The Darwin Incident as my favorite anime and manga of all time.
Do you see my To Do list and habit completions below? If there's not a lot yet, I am just getting started. I have already done several tasks today, and I only woke up a few hours ago. I have already done so much.
I'll write another entry again later today, this entry is just for quitting entertainment due to losing all interest in it.
