My next next king is planned to be a tigon, and I got a cassis cub with ambrosia marks to be the looks heir. (Tigon king is all about the flex, so I figured I needed a breed-only base. Cassis is one of my favs, it’s popular, and it recently became a combo factor.)

I couldn’t think of a name for the cassis cub, so I asked chatgpt. Of course you can’t ask chatgpt raw; you need context. So I spun a tale. I said I needed a name for a young claimant for the throne, popular and handsome. He’s being manipulated by Ascender’s Bane the Tigon, who will eventually seize the throne from him. I also said I liked the name Cassis but it was too close to another character, the pirate Cassian Stormtide.

It gave me suggestions and I tweaked them to came up with the name Caelis Rhovaniel. Pretty fancy name for a looks heir when my permas get names like “bonus donut” and “ceiling ramen,” but that’s fine.

Caelis recently hit adolescence and is going on training missions with ascender’s bane (because why not, I have no other male adols). I’m really enjoying how this fits with the whole narrative. He’s mentoring the lad while secretly plotting his demise.

(tbh I may end up modifying the plan depending on how hard dilali fever hits. I’m already considering getting a dilali mod for my lead who takes over in November, and if I want another in February, ascender’s bane might get bumped to May…if I’m still playing Lioden by then. Or he could get shunted to side heir. We’ll see.)
