Sore and Tired

Today was somewhat productive. I woke up kind of early again but then just stayed in my room so no one would know I was awake and start complaining about something. It also meant I didn't have any coffee because I didn't want to go downstairs and see the mess I knew was in the kitchen. I ended up finally finishing my rewatch of The Last Jedi and working on my cross stitch project.

Around 11am (when the movie ended), I decided I had enough energy to pull some more weeds. I didn't get as much done as I wanted yesterday because it got too hot. I checked the weather, and it was only supposed to get into the low-80s so I figured I'd have quite a few hours of tolerable temperatures before it got too hot this time.

I ended up working for about three hours before physical exhaustion set in. I really didn't do much, but I'm so out of shape and overweight, that just moving around can be taxing. The bending over to pull weeds is what gets me every time because it messes my blood pressure up and makes me sick. But I managed to finish pulling weeds in the rock bed along the sidewalk next to the house. I also pulled weeds I could reach up on the retaining wall (will have to get the rest from up on top) and swept all along the sidewalk. It looks so nice now. Not sure how long it will last, though. I did spray everything with weed and grass killer but the stuff was old so not sure if it still works (or if it ever worked).

I started in on the stuff running up our driveway, but by then, I was so tired, I felt like I was moving in slow motion. Then I needed our yard waste bin moved but I couldn't get it out from the side of house. Luckily, my husband just happened to come home from work and pulled it out for me. He then yelled at the kids to help me but the 10yo just whined. The 17yo (who actually helped yesterday wasn't home) and the 14yo came out right as I finished and was putting stuff away.

I'm not sure if this is all a sign the meds are working or not. It seems way too early to say that considering I've only been taking a half dose for 6 days and missed one of those days. I sometimes have little bursts where I have more energy than usual. They never last. I either just slip back into fatigue or overdo it one day and am laid up in bed from some injury or just pure exhaustion. By the time I recover from that, the burst of energy is over and I'm back to my regularly scheduled fatigue.

Anyway, I could barely get up the stairs after all the work I did. My legs felt like they weighed 100lbs each. My muscles are so sore from the bending over plus walking up and down our steep driveway all day. I ended up taking a shower (my husband made me) although I'm still shocked I managed to stay on my feet the entire time. And then I ordered pizza because there weren't enough leftovers to eat and I wasn't about to cook after all that work.

In fact, I've had a headache since I came inside despite taking some Aleve (which usually works). It got really bad for awhile but is now a dull ache.

My plan for tomorrow is to work on the bit of yard on the other side of the driveway that has gotten horribly overgrown. Then I have to start on the side of the house that's raised up above the sidewalk. But that all depends on how I feel tomorrow. I really didn't think I'd do anything today after how I felt last night, but I ended up doing even more today. Then again, I really wore myself out today. It might have been too much. I don't know.
