Today was busy and eventful. I was woken up at 9am by my phone ringing. I actually almost got in to see a doctor *today* about a hysterectomy, but it ended up being pushed back to September 18th (the original date) because there wouldn't have been enough time for the exam even though they had a cancellation. I tried to go back to sleep, but the calls went back and forth a couple of times and eventually I gave up.
Normally I exercise first thing in the morning to wake myself up. Today I had to walk across town to the notary, so I stretched and did a few simple exercises before going out aaaaaaand the guy told me to come back tomorrow between 10-11am. Ugh. I didn't give up though! I walked a bit further and I found another one! So I got that part done and then I had to get a money order- easy, right? Nooooope. For whatever reason nowhere would just let me do a paper one, they wanted me to do it electronically which required information about the person I'm sending it to....but no option for government business. It was a huge pain in the ass. I gave up on it for the day...
Luckily for me right as I was ready to give up (I had literally just gotten home, showered, and changed), a good friend of mine offered to help me find a place that would give me a paper money order so I got up and we went out. I was glad to see them because I hadn't for a while with the covid stuff still going on- they and I are both immunocompromised, though they need to be more careful than I do. Since I'm immunocompromised and mildly agoraphobic I generally isolate myself a lot, so it's safe for them to see me with protective gear. So today I got everything done that I had set out to do and I got to see a friend!
Everything worked out in the end. The only thing is that I didn't get a chance to actually mail the thing today. I'm hoping that our mailperson will just pick it up from the box, if not I'll have to walk out again tomorrow. That might not be so bad. Nothing bad happened to me today when I was out....and I got to have a random plague rave dance party with my friend in a church parking lot next to a community garden- I took an eggplant since I've actually never tried it before. I'll have to find a good recipe with things I have on-hand. My friend says I'm a good dancer and asked me how I do a certain type of roll. I was flattered and I tried to show them how to do it. Trying to dance in super slow motion is weird. I've never had someone ask me for dancing advice before...and I have been SO out of practice for months now, though this month I've been trying to get back into it with a Habitica challenge to dance every day. The compliment caught me a bit off guard, but I guess it shows how far I've come in the year or so I've just been goofing around freestyling- it's a lot of fun!
If you are immunocompromised, it's very risky to do a surgery at this time especially due to Covid-19. Anyway I'm glad you had a good day today, looks like things are going well, keep it up! :)
@JustMegawatt Because of what happened today, which I'll post about soon, I doubt that I will be able to have surgery soon anyway :( It is probably for the best though, it's too risky as you said.
