Streaks Updated and Simplified

Streaks are a way to keep track of your daily habits, as you do a daily habit, you can increment your streak. If you falter and miss a day, you can reset your streak. A new feature has been added that now keeps track of your longest streaks.

Your longest streak counts and their start and end dates are now always recorded, so whenever you increment or reset, your longest streak count will be updated if you were able to beat your personal record. For example if you happen to hit a personal record streak of 10 days but then miss out on a day, by hitting reset your longest streak gets saved and so do the dates from when you started to when it ended.

In addition these changes were also implemented:

  • The Counter has been changed from decimal field to an integer field. Previously you could save decimal values such as 1.50 for a streak count, but that didn't make much sense or have much use-case, so it's now been updated to have whole numbers only.
  • Setting time has been removed. To simplify the streaks date process, the time has been removed. Previously along with the date you could specify an exact time for streaks, but that just made the streak creation and editing process a bit more complicated. In order to simplify things, setting time has been removed and now you can just set the date only.
