You can now tag users in journal entries

Previously you were only able to tag users in the comments by typing in their name like this: "@username", but now you can tag users in journal entries themselves. You still have to remember their name, but now you can type in @username in journal entries and they will receive a notification that they were tagged. Note that this only applies for public journal entries. Try it out by tagging yourself in your own journal entry! @ayearagotoday

Another small update is that notifications will remain until they have been manually closed. This was suggested by @Justmeriem who didn't like the notifications disappearing so quickly.

Please let us know if you run into any issues and have any suggestions for improvement.

Hi team! Thanks for the update! The manual close is really helpful ♡︎ Can I also suggest that maybe there can also be an auto close after we have replied to a specific comment? And also just wanna note that I found that even when it's me commenting on my own entry I still get a notification. I don't feel that's really necessary since I'm aware of me commenting my own entry~ But please do ask the others about it as well~ These are just some things I'd like to share. Really loving this site! And also recently tried to upload a pic from my phone browser and it worked so I'm super happy about that!

@shaiduck Thanks for the feedback Shaiduck! We have implemented your suggestion to make it so that users aren't notified for posting a comment in their own entries, because they know they're doing it. We don't know yet about removing a notification once you reply to it, but next comment feature we're adding is a "reply" button that automatically tags a user in the comments so you don't have to manually type their name.

We so are glad you are enjoying the site, please let us know anytime you run into an issue or have other suggestions or feedback.
