vacation plans(?)

Every vacation I think I can/might/will do so much with my spare time and this one is no different.

Things I could do:

  • Draw. My dragon art has improved over the past few months, especially with dragon-a-day inktober (I didn’t manage to draw every day, but I did a bunch of them).
  • Write lore for dragons. It’s still a long-term goal to have lore for everyone, even though I keep getting new dragons faster than I can devise lore for them.
  • Grind for NotN. we love egg
  • Read Adrian Tchaikovsky’s Children of Time. To my surprise, this turned out to be a book about giant spiders. I don’t think any of the jacket copy mentioned giant spiders. Anyway, I don’t mind, and am in fact greatly rooting for them. Fascinating society. The problem is there are also a bunch of human characters and I don’t like any of them. No one cares about your generational ship and petty human drama. Go back to the spiders.

update (12/26):

Well, I drew some dragons (doodles of Jiaozi + Quintic + Zabuyelite). (“is that your signature?” “that’s his name” “he’s a dumpling!” being seen is the best) No lore-writing, no reading, and minimal NotN grinding. To be fair, we stayed over at brother’s house (which I did not realize was the plan beforehand), so there was a lot more playing with the kid and a lot less random downtime.

Also, being in their house, there wasn’t particularly any place to walk at night, unlike a hotel with long hallways. This shouldn’t have made a difference for NotN grinding, but it did—I’m just so used to coli as a walking activity.
