No Water, Didn't Exercise Due To This

7:26 AM (of Tuesday, February 10th, 2026)

Today is Monday, February 9th, 2026, and I had no water for most of today. My neighborhood received an email on Saturday or Sunday, that there would be no water on Sunday night, with no date on when it was coming back, so I prepared by storing some potable water in glass containers. I already have probably 20+ gallons of water stored in plastic containers, but they are not potable water, I don't trust water that's been in these plastic containers for too long. Whenever you drink them there is always some aftertaste, so I will only drink water stored in glass and has been distilled. I distill my water, except, at my parent's home, I am forced to drink the Brita filtered water in plastic containers there, since I have no choice.

Anyway, I wasn't going to exercise today due to not having any water. I wasn't going to sweat a bunch and then not be able to take a shower, so that's why I didn't exercise today. I went to Marshall's instead and bought some dried edamame, chickpeas, and dried fruits to eat. This is all I have been eating for the past 10 days. I only cooked once this entire time, the rest of the time I was just eating dried edamame, chickpeas, and dried fruits. Not even any fresh fruits. I have the knowledge that we don't need to harm and kill any animals, so unlike most people who don't realize this, I never buy or eat any animal flesh, ever, so I don't even cook meals unless I want to, and I have much more freedom in life due to this.

A unique thing I did today is I also bought some wrist and ankle weights. The previous time I played Beat Saber, I put on some 2.5 pound weights on my wrists, and I played for around 45 minutes, but the wrist weights were so clunky and were starting to fall apart from all the movement, so I bought some newer fancier models today. It's these plastic 2 pound weights that look unique from any other wrist or ankle weights I've seen. Playing with them was definitely a lot easier and better than with the 2.5 weights. I could barely feel them.

While playing Beat Saber, you move your arms and wrists up and down and all around probably around 1000 times per song, on the hardest difficulty. I only play the hardest difficulty. What's weird is I just searched up "beat saber with wrist weights" and all the people on Reddit are saying to not do it, that they couldn't do it, and that it causes injury, lol. And these people are playing on easier difficulties.

Yeah, having read some comments now, a couple of people got injured. I don't know how. One person injured their elbows playing one song and quit the game for two weeks, another used weights for a while until they got injured and had to quit for 3 months. I don't even know how you can injure your elbow. I don't feel any tension on my elbow when I'm playing.

Having read enough comments and information, I've decided to stop using weights while playing Beat Saber. I'm going to try out games like FitXR instead, which uses a boxing and punching motion instead of a slashing motion, and they said that's better on the wrist. Actually I'm not even going to try that, it requires a subscription and to be able to see well, I can barely see while I'm playing beat saber so I'm not even going to try.

I use wrist and ankle weights when I am sweeping and mopping, just make sure you do the stairs first while you're fresh. I hope your water situation improves.

@A. G. Broom Wrist and ankle weights for regular home chores is a good idea and safe. For Beat Saber, it's because the game requires extremely rapid arm, hand, and wrist movements which makes it unsafe. Yeah the water has been going on and off for the past week. I have water now for a few hours, who knows how long it'll be around for.
